On the final First Friday of Summer, West Chester held its third annual Tour-de-Trike, presented by Downtown West Chester, the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce and Tolsdorf Oil Lube. Sixteen teams came out, but only one could win.

The rules were simple. Each team would be made up of five people who would take turns participating in a relay race on Gay St. Contestants were permitted to pedal, push, or propel themselves along however they saw fit, as long as all three wheels of their tricycle remained on the ground at all times. The competition was organized as a double-elimination bracket, meaning each team that got eliminated automatically had a second chance at redemption.
