Modena Menorah Miracle

They say, “All the darkness in the world can’t extinguish a single candle.”
Last night, in Modena, PA, the congregations of Kesher Israel, Beth Israel, and Beth Chaim came together with the residents of Modena to light their new menorah after the last one was vandalized last week.
About 35 people, including Modena Mayor, Mike Harvey, members of local government, and County Commissioner Eric Roe, were in attendance.
“We just posted online on Monday”, said Jennifer Daywalt, Modena’s Borough Council President, “by Wednesday, we had $600 to get a new menorah. When Rabbi Sam Yolen of Kesher Israel in West Chester got involved and started spreading the word, we had over $1,000 by Friday.”
