Council Closes Out 2025

December 17th marked the final Borough Council meeting of 2025, as well as end of three council members terms. The meeting began with Council President Patrick McCoy (D - Ward 1), Councilwoman Sheila Vaccaro (D - Ward 5), and Councilwoman Lisa Dorsey (D - Ward 7) all sharing their farewells.
Councilwoman Dorsey spoke first, sharing, “I want to thank everyone for allowing me to serve here, it has been a pleasure and quite the learning experience. Humbling sometimes, sometimes very challenging. There have been a lot of changes in my tenure here over five and a half years. We’ve got almost a whole new board of directors, a lot of new staff. We have four women on the dias, I don’t know if we ever had that. That dynamic will not continue into the next [Council], but I’m going to remain hopeful that we will continue to honor differences and make sure we are accommodating everyone, not only here on the dias, but particularly residents and businesses as well.”
