As we move into America’s 250th birthday, we must first celebrate Pennsylvania’s 345th birthday!

On March 4th 1861 William Penn was granted a charter of land from Charles II of England. The land was dubbed Pennsylvania or “Penn’s Woods” in honor of his father Admiral Sir William Penn.
