CELEBRATING AMERICA250

The West Chester region celebrated America’s 250th birthday with a series of festivities yesterday. Unfortunately, rain forced the cancellation of the much-anticipated drone show by Starflight Drone Shows, though the event still drew dozens of residents for patriotic speeches, and a block party celebration!
Before the event officially started, we stopped by the Chester County Welcome Center at the historic courthouse in downtown west Chester. They had cool exhibits, as well as fun activities for the kids, including signing a large copy of the Declaration of Independence to be placed in the time capsule to be buried and reopened in 2076, fifty years from now.
