Board Certifies Flawed Election
by Kyle Hudson
In a 2-1 vote on Friday, December 5th, the Chester County Board of Elections, consisting of county commissioners Josh Maxwell, Marian Moscowitz, and Eric Roe, officially certified the county’s results of the 2025 general election. According to Voter Services, the November 4 election determined 87 different offices in Chester County, involved over 550 candidates, and determined nearly 50 contests.
The decision to certify the election results came after the error, which excluded thousands of third-party voters from poll books delivered to polling stations across the county. Voter services scrambled to deliver additional poll books to remedy the issue, and polls were open an additional two hours until 10 pm, but many voters were still forced to vote by provisional ballot in order to submit their vote.
