The 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy wrapped up on Feb. 22 after more than two weeks of breathtaking competition featuring nearly 3,000 athletes from over 90 nations competing across 116 events. Norway once again finished atop the medal standings, capturing 18 gold medals and 41 total medals, continuing its dominance as the world’s premier winter sports nation.
